Acoustic - Sound Absorption Coefficient (NRC) - Sound absorption is a primary design
criterion and key to more effective spaces for living, working, and relaxing.

Acoustic - Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) ¬- Attenuation is an especially significant
measure in providing acoustic privacy between adjacent areas, where sound can penetrate
plenum spaces and carry to other rooms

Acoustic - Articulation Class (AC) - Articulation rates a ceiling's suitability for achieving
normal privacy in open spaces by absorbing noise reflected at an angle off the ceiling into
adjacent areas.

Fire Resistance - Local building codes require fire-safe construction for many building
applications.

Humidity Resistance - Ceilings are designed to prevent sagging as a result of exposure
to high relative humidity (moisture).

Light reflectance - Growing awareness of new, energy-saving lighting often overlooks
the integral role of the ceiling. A high light-reflectance ceiling makes lighting systems -
especially indirect lighting - more effective, while further reducing energy costs and
consumption.
